12:02 am - Rising from the Live Journal grave!
Ok, let's give the old "New Year's resolution to do Live Journal more" thing another try. So, by my count, it's been just over nine months since I last wrote something. Wow, we could have had a baby in that time. We didn't. But, Deb did! She's absolutely perfect! So, Michelle and I live in Waterville, now. She got a job up here, and it was too far to commute from Kennebunk. It's quite exciting to be on our own, but frightening to have to support our selves. I'm still trying to find a job. Ah for the old days, when I just had to go to class, go to rehearsal, and post on lj. Well, I guess we all have to get older some time. It's also sad to have to leave all the new friends we made in the K-bunk area over the last year and a half, but hopefully we'll get to see them often. Especially the coven we joined a month before we moved. That kind of sucked. But they're all great people, and really good friends, so I'm sure we'll stay in touch, at least over Facebook. Ok, the Colbert Report is over, and it's time for me to go to bed, so I'll end here. Maybe I'll post again tomorrow!

6:08 pm - How Well Do You Know Your States?
You Know Your States
You got 7/10 correct.

You've got a pretty good handle on US geography.
There's a good chance you've visited at least a dozen of the fifty states.

I found this on an old post, and thought I'd see who I could do, again. Same.

5:59 pm - New book! And, New Post!
Everyone should check out this book by Dorothy Morrison, Lucinda's Web. It looks really good, and I have it on good authority that it is. Read a review of it, here: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=1503 I can't wait to get it, and I'm putting it on my Christmas list.

Edit: if you go here: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=5495 you can also read an interview with Ms. Morrison and ask your own questions, if you get there today. There's also a contest!

One more edit:
The event runs all week, not just today, and if you enter the contest and say I sent you (I used my real name) you get two entries.

6:15 pm - Ch-ch-ch-changes
Wow, so much has gone on since I last posted. Most importantly, we've moved, and we lost our jobs. Those of you who read Michelle's journal probably know all this, already. First, on Michelle's birthday, no less, we got a call from our boss at our camp saying that he's being pressured to cut back expenses, so they're not going to have enough money to bring us back to camp this summer. After working there for almost ten years, I've been downsized. So much for loyalty. So, we're both in the process of looking for jobs. Then, yesterday, Michelle and I moved out of our nice, expensive apartment, and moved in with her parents. The move was stressful, but didn't take too long. So, now, anyone who comes to the Bangor area intending to visit us won't be able to. We're in the Portland area, now. But, we'd still love to visit with people. Just don't expect to come hang out at our place, for a while, until we can get it set up. And, damnit, I swear I'm going to post more. And I mean it this time. Just not right now. Bye!

Blah, back to the old grindstone, in a couple of days. I'm watching Ghost Hunters, right now, and just about to wake Michelle up so we can go to the store. We had a good time in Kennebunk. Michelle's parents bought us lots of good food for a lot of dinners, so we don't have an excuse to go out to eat anymore. That's good, because we can save money and eat healthier. So, now I'm just waiting for work and to hear back from other jobs. *sigh* I need money. Stupid laws against prostitution.

2:07 pm - Hi, again
So, I guess my last post was coherent, after all. This one will be short, because I have to go, soon, but I want to try to keep up with my journal, again, so I figured I'd post. Hm. What should I post about. What's that you say? What kind of things have I been listening to? What a completely random question for you to ask me. Well, for about the last month, I've been listening to Christmas music on the radio, but I can recommend some other things. If you're into podcasting (which I am) there are a couple I've been listening to lately, that I really like. One is The Irish and Celtic Music Podcast, which features, you guessed it, Irish and Celtc music! If anyone's familiar with a group called the Brobdingnagian Bards, one of those two guys, Marc Gunn, is the host, and he plays a lot of great, independant celtic music. You can find it at www.celticmusicpodcast.com The other one is called Lance & Graal. It's a pagan discussion podcast about various things of interest to pagan minds. It's very good. www.lanceandgraal.com That's Graal, with two "a"s and no "i"s. I'm still in the process of catching up from missing everything over the summer, so I havn't been listening to many others, but there's also Ghostly Talk, Shadowdace, and about a hundred more that I enjoy. What's that, again? Are there any YouTube channels I want to recommend? How did you know I was just thinking about that? There are, actually. The first is Machelli at http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=machelli He's really good, and he's a friend of mine. The other is actually also him. I don't have time to explain it, so I'll just give you the address, and he explains it there. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=thamewt And, now I have to go. Bye!

You Know Your States

You got 7/10 correct.

What? I got lower than Michelle?

Anyway, happy new year. It's late and I'm sleepy, which makes me a bit groggy, so this post may be a little incoerent at times. (For example, when I wrote that sentence the first time, I wrote "so this email") I'm typing it kind of slowly, so feel free to read it slowly, if you wish. or not, I don't care. Christmas was nice. I might do an annual present wrap-up (ha, accidental humor) some other time. I dont really have the energy to go look through everything and remember what I got. I remember that there's a neat little teapot thing that has a strainer, and you put the teabags in and pout the water over them, and it makes a mini pot of tea for you. I can't wait for Michelle to bring the kettle she got back so I can try it out. And Harry Potter, and Happy Feet, and the Muppet SHow season one. And next week some time Mom is taking me to buy me a microphone for my computer and a new mouse. We did Christmas Eve at Mom and Dad's house, again, and Dad's boss came by with his young daughter Chloe and infant son Caleb who are both quite possibly the most adorable children ever. Caleb was very mellow, he just sat there and got passed around without flinching. He smiled a couple times, but mostly just kept a very straight face while he took in all the new people. He's a new year baby, so he just turned one year old on the first. Well, they didn't stay too long, but I did get to hold the baby, so I could make Michelle jealous, since she wasn't there. Then we went to the lake, to my grandmother's house on CHristmas, for dinner. My uncle and aunt had had t-shirts made up for everyone. See my family has a habit of teasing my grandmother, and when they do, she always says "you people don't know," or "you people think you're so smart," or "you people..." So, they got shirts that say "you people" on the back, and in a bunch of different languages on the front. So of coure we all had to have our picture take with them on, both from the front and the back. Grandma's boyfriend was there, too (that's a wierd thing to write) and he even had one. It was a hoot. Then, I pretty much hung around the house until New Year's Eve, when I went with my parents to our friend Dave's house for his annual New Year's Eve party/excuse to stuff yourself full of the biggest portions of the most food ever. We started with crackers and a homemade cheese ball, then had fresh onion soup with home made croutons, and finished with huge slabs of a prime rib roast that was bigger than my head and potatoes. I think I'm still digesting it all. And then we sat around and talked until the ball dropped, and we went home. And now my life has been a long blur of not getting up before 10 and not going to bed before 4. *sigh* I need to get my sleep pattern more regular before classes start, again. And, on top of all that, I'm trying to find another job, so I can start making a little more money. I don't want to join the real world. Ok, I'm going to go to bed. Maybe tomorrow I'll post again and clear up some of the harder to understand things I said in this one. Good night.

1:11 am - Ninjas like pie, too: a Review, of sorts
I've found a new favorite show. It's called The Backyardigans. Yes, it's a kids' show. It's about 5 preschoolers. Tyrone is a moose, Austin is a kangaroo, Tasha is a hippo, Uniqua is a bug, and Pablo is a penguin. They all live in houses next to each other, and play together in their back yards. They have big pretend adventures and sing and dance through them, learning a valuable lesson in the end. It's cheesy, but it's really fun. It's not like something I'm going to cancel appointments to make sure I'm able to watch, I just like it. Deb and I saw our first episode this week. It was called Samurai Pie. Tyrone was being a master pie maker for Empress Tasha. He made pies like a samurai...like a samurai who makes pies. Austin was his apprentice, and Uniqua and Pablo were ninja. Pablo wasn't a very good ninja. He couldn't jump from tree to tree, and he kept landing on his bum, instead of his feet. Master Chef Tyrone (in his puffy hat) was teaching Austin how to make pies ("Do you wanna make pies?" "Yes I wanna make pies." "Lemme see it in your eyes!" "Yes I wanna make pies!" "Then try this excercise...") when Empress Tasha wants a pie. Austin foolishly suggests The Great Pie, a pie that uses 200 ingredients, and is bigger than a table and rounder than the sun. It's notoriously hard to make, and when they get back to the bake house, Master Pie Maker Tyrone makes Austin make The Great Pie all by himself. Meanwhile Ninjas Uniqua and Pablo are trying to get up the hill to the bake house, past the booby traps. When Austin finally makes a perfect looking pie (it's up to Empress Tasha to decide if it's The Great Pie) Ninja Uniqua and Ninja Pablo show up to steal it. I won't ruin the ending (cause I know that everyone who reads my journal will run right out and rent this episode. It's on the Mission to Mars DVD.) but the show always ends with one of them being hungry, and they all stop playing and go to someone's house for a snack. It's very cute, and the songs are very catchy. If you ever see it on TV, I definately recommend not flipping past it.

12:48 am - One o'clock in the Morning
I don't really know what I want to write about, but I was looking at my mom's Blogger, and I wanted to make my own. Then I remembered that I have a Live Journal, and I decided I should probably post in this more often, rather than starting another blog o ignore. But, as I said, I don't know what I want to write about. I had an aborable dream this morning about having to protect the son of our boss this summer from bumble bees. He's one of the cutest kids ever, so the dream was really cute. Ok, I guess that's it.

P.S. Still no news on the Tailless Black Sow thing, but I havn't been looking, anymore. I kind of gave up.

3:09 pm - Maddening Quest
So, I was reading an article on WitchVox that mentioned a tailless black sow in Celtic myth, as a symbol of Cerridwen. That sparked a memory in my brian that I'm almost 100% sure was real. I remember seeing some kind of advertisement for a movie or TV show or something about a you boy who learns about a tailless black sow coming to get his family, and no one else believes him, so he has to fight it off himself. But, I can't remember where I saw it. Can anyone help?

12:36 pm - Hmm.
Well, that last one was interesting. I guess it's a thing to help if you have writer's block and don't know what to write about. I don't even post when I do have something to write about, what makes them think I'm going ot post when I don't? Anyway, I found out what Labor Day is all about. Apperently it's a day to celebrate the common working man. Wouldn't Marx be proud? Anyway, been through two weeks of classes, now. Going pretty well. I auditioned for Figaro last week, so we'll see what comes of that. Don't have a job, yet, either. The one I didn't really want hasn't come through, yet, so that's all right, but neither did the one I was hoping to get. Shit. Well, Michelle and Debar and I are all looking for jobs, now. We're applying at a day care center, so maybe we'll get to work with babies. And, now, I've run out of things to say.

1:03 pm - Home again, home again, jiggedy-jig
Well, we're all finally in the apartment. The student org fair went ok, but it rained, and my books got all wet, but we got a bunch of people who came by and showed interest, so that was cool. For some reason we had a lot of asian people who walked toward us to check us out and then veered away before they said anything. I can understand people coming to check out what we are and running away when they see that we're scary pagans, that's happened before, but this year they all seemed to be asian. I don't know. Maybe they were the only people I noticed. Well, anyway, Deb moved in last night and we went to Wahmah and got curtains and a TV stand (which I put together.) And, now we're in the Union Mac cluster checking email after Deb got her books. I don't know what we're doing next, but I really hope it involves food, cause we got up at 11 this morning and came right here with out eating. Blah.

Still in Kennebunk, a day later than we had expected to stay, but Michelle has an errand tomorrow, so we'll be back then. And then we have something to do on thursday, meeting UMPIC people Thursday night, the Dinner on the mall Friday, Deb moves in Saturday (yay!), and then we start school on Tuesday. Yikes. I'm glad my only class that day isn't until 3:00pm. Hehe! Michelle made cupcakes, so we're gonna eat them and watch House. We saw the Nanny Diaries this afternoon, and went to a pagan shop here, before that. Didn't get anything, but one of the owners' baby was there (or is she her grandbaby? Baby, I think) and she made faces at us for a little bit. Very cute. A lot bigger than the last time we were there. And we found out they do channeling workshops every other week, so we're going to try to come back down for one of those. We thought there was one tonight, but they hadn't taken down the info from last week, yet :( Oh, well. Ok, I'm going to go have cupcakes, now.

8:18 pm - Kennebunk
Hi, again, I'm actually managing a second post. I'm in Kennebunk visiting Michelle's family and Debar. Today Michelle's parents took us to brunch and then We went with Deb and her people to try on dresses for the wedding. Which is in April. Well, Michelle's is beautiful (though not as beautiful as Deb's, of course) and I'll have to go buy a suit in a few months. After a few months of Yoga Booty-ing with the girls (yeah right, like that will happen). I was going through old emails and deleting stuff and it looks like the new Changeling game has started up. I don't know much about it, and I don't know what I think about the stuff I do know, but I'll have to read the book and learn about it more. And check on my membership. I'm sure that's not updated. I would like to get back into playing, though. So, there you go. I think I'll check my friends page and then go see what Michelle and her mom are doing. It's so hot.
